    Explain your goal

    Explain whether you want to save for your household, manage business money or prepare a project. Ask whether the service is available and who can use it.

    Request the accepted documents, identity requirements and amounts payable. If you represent a group or business, also ask which authorisation records are needed.

    Understand shares and savings

    Ask how a cooperative share, a membership contribution and money saved in an account differ. Confirm how each can be accessed or returned if you leave.

    Read before signing

    Read the terms and charges, ask about anything unclear, and keep a copy of what you sign. Confirm how to raise a question and receive a response.
